Because this site is owned by the brand it reviews, it’s fair to want to know exactly how customer reviews are handled. Here’s the short version.
What happens after you submit
- Your review is saved and waits for a person to read it — nothing is published automatically.
- A person checks it against the customer review policy.
- It’s either published, or set aside if it needs a closer look or can’t be published.
- We keep a record of each decision and the reason for it, so our moderation stays accountable.
That record can’t be quietly edited — it’s what would make a pattern of rejecting negative reviews visible rather than hidden.
What we may change
- Remove personal information — email addresses, phone numbers, order numbers, other people’s names.
- Remove profanity where our policy requires it.
- Set aside spam, promotional content, or anything unrelated to the product.
- Decline reviews we believe are fraudulent.
- Hold or decline reviews that make prohibited medical or illegal claims.
- Fix an obvious typo or formatting slip.
What we won’t change
- Your opinion — a negative review stays negative.
- Your rating, up or down.
- The meaning of what you wrote.
- Which reviews go live, based on how favourable they are.
And we won’t reject criticism just because it’s unflattering. A review saying a product didn’t suit someone, or wasn’t worth the price, is a perfectly valid review.
Reviews containing medical claims
These get a closer look before anything is published. It isn’t about silencing you — a cosmetics company simply isn’t allowed to publish a customer statement that a product treated a medical condition.
Even when such a review is published, we won’t lift a medical claim out of it to use in a headline or highlight.
Why there’s no star rating yet
A product shows an overall star rating once enough real reviews have been published to make an average meaningful. Right now there aren’t enough, so you’ll see the individual reviews instead.
Every review here comes from a real customer — we don’t write them ourselves, use AI to create them, or copy them over from the main store. Once a product does have a star rating, it will match exactly what the published reviews add up to.
Editorial assessments are kept separate
Our editorial assessment of a product — strong, moderate or limited documentation — is about how well the product is documented. It is never blended with customer ratings into a combined score, because the two measure completely different things.
You can submit a review for any Amplified Glow product you have used.
