How your review is handled
A person reads every review before it goes live, and we keep a record of each decision and the reason behind it. Your review is either published, or set aside if it needs a closer look or can’t be published — and the reasons for that are set out below.
We may
- Remove personal information (yours or someone else’s).
- Remove profanity where our policy requires it.
- Set aside spam, promotional content, or anything unrelated to the product.
- Decline reviews we believe are fraudulent.
- Hold or decline reviews that make medical or otherwise prohibited claims.
- Fix an obvious typo or formatting slip.
We won’t
- Change a negative review into a positive one.
- Raise or lower your rating.
- Edit your meaning.
- Publish only the favourable reviews.
- Claim a purchase was verified when it wasn’t.
- Remove honest criticism just because it’s unflattering.
Incentivised reviews
If you received anything in exchange for a review — a discount, a free product, loyalty points — you must disclose it on the submission form. Where disclosed, that is shown on the published review. Failure to disclose an incentive is grounds for rejection.
Reviews that make medical claims
Amplified Glow products are cosmetics, so we can’t publish a review that says a product treated or cured a medical condition. If your review includes something like that, we’ll take a closer look before deciding whether it can go live — and we won’t feature a medical claim in a headline or highlight even if the review itself is published.
Every review is from a real customer
All reviews here come from real people who used the product and submitted their own words. We don’t write reviews ourselves or use AI to create them.
Star ratings
A product shows an overall star rating once enough real reviews have been published to make it meaningful. Until then, you’ll see the individual reviews rather than an average. That customer rating is kept separate from our own assessment of the product. For more, see how we handle customer feedback.
Photos and videos
Photo and video submissions aren’t accepted at the moment. Reviews are text only for now.
Removing your review
Ask us and we will remove it. See our privacy notice for how to make that request and what happens to the underlying data.
