How we assess Amplified Glow products

We read what Amplified Glow publishes about each product, label every fact with where it came from, and tell you plainly when something isn’t published. Reviews use a clear rating for how well-documented a product is — not a made-up score — and keep our assessment separate from customer ratings.

How we put a review together

  1. We read the product’s page and shop listing in full and record every fact the brand publishes.
  2. We label each fact with where it came from, and the date we checked it.
  3. When the brand doesn’t publish a detail, we say so instead of filling in the blank.
  4. Figures we calculate ourselves — like price per millilitre — come only from published numbers, and we mark them as calculations.
  5. When we compare products, we use the same attributes in the same order every time so the comparison is fair.

Evidence states

Every factual value on this site carries one of these labels, shown next to it wherever it appears in a table.

Verified
Read directly from a source we can cite and cross-checked against at least one other place the same fact appears.
Brand disclosed
Stated by Amplified Glow. Recorded accurately as a brand statement, not independently confirmed.
Packaging verified
Read from a legible photograph of the physical product or ingredient panel.
Editorially inferred
Calculated by us from verified inputs. The inputs are cited; the output is arithmetic.
Not disclosed
Amplified Glow does not publish this at the source we checked.
Not verified
This detail may exist somewhere, but we haven’t been able to confirm it. We treat it as unknown.
Needs update
Confirmed before, but now old enough that we plan to re-check it.

Two kinds of review

Formula & Specification Review. This assessment is based on verified product information, disclosed ingredients, packaging details, price, intended cosmetic role, and our published comparison criteria. It is not presented as a hands-on product test.

Hands-on review. We would only call a review hands-on if it was backed by documented testing — a named tester, testing dates, the method and routine used, and any limitations. When that testing exists, the review says so.

A clear rating, not a made-up score

We don’t give products a number out of ten — it would imply a precision we don’t have. Instead each review tells you how well-documented the product is (strong, moderate, or limited), and gives you plain "best fit for" and "consider another option if" guidance so you can match it to your own needs.

Our assessment of a product and its customer ratings are shown separately. They measure different things, so we keep them apart.

What you can count on

  • When the brand doesn’t publish a figure, you’ll see that stated — not an estimate.
  • We describe what a product is and who it suits, and leave feel, scent and results to hands-on reviews.
  • Ingredient research is explained for context, not treated as proof of what a finished product will do.
  • We call a product a good fit for a specific need, rather than crowning a single "best overall".
  • We compare against category averages, never against a named rival brand.

We track when each fact was last checked so information doesn’t quietly go out of date, and every page shows you its own last-checked date near the top.
